I make cryptographic primitives more efficient by exploiting properties of error-correcting codes. To-date my focus has been on zero-knowledge proof systems, but I am interested in cryptography as a whole. My overarching goal is to design algorithms that enable private and verifiable compute over the internet.
My work on polynomial commitment schemes has lead to fundamental changes in the design of post-quantum code-based proof systems. BaseFold, for instance, has been integrated into several products and is a core building block of other influential research works (see here for details). Another paper of mine, Blaze, introduced RAA codes into the SNARK research ecosystem.
Previously, I was a cryptographic engineer at Consensys and then SRI International, where I implemented efficient zero-knowledge proof protocols and proof-based applications. Prior to that, I received a BA in mathematics from Columbia University.
